My Pets

First of all let me say that I love my cats dearly. They are all female. I strongly believe in getting your pet spayed (female) or neutered (male) when they reach the proper age and before they have a litter, not after. If you have a pet, please make sure that you take them to the veterinarian regularly for their checkups.

I have never went out looking for a pet at stores or shelters. Not that there is anything wrong with them. My kitties came to me, or they were abandoned and I stumbled upon them. So you see, I had to keep them because I feel that it was meant to be. For me to give them all the love I could. And I do love them so very much.

This past September, my little April passed away. Her heart was just so weak. She went into a seizure and heart failure at home. My boyfriend and I scooped her up in a blanket as quickly as we could and jumped in the car to take her to the animal hospital right down the street. It seemed like everybody was in the way and nobody understood how desperate I was to get past them and to the hospital. We were almost there. I kept talking to her to comfort her. A block before we got to the hospital entrance, just as we were going around the circle, my boyfriend told me, she's gone. She gave up, she's gone. I refused to believe that and continued speeding to the hospital.We ran in there with her rapped in a blanket and me screaming to the top of my lungs. HELP, PLEASE...SHE WON'T WAKE UP...BRING HER BACK. They grabbed her and ran in the back. After about 20 minutes, they came out and told me that they were sorry, but they tried everything they could but it didn't help. They brought her out for me to hold her. I don't think I cried that much since my mother passed away.

Your pets really do become part of your family...............so treat them as such. Get them spayed/neutered and give them all the love you can. This page is for my "April".
